How does ACE and ACI e-manifest Fax Service work?

1. Your driver fills our forms which identify the truck, trailer, driver and shipments
2. Driver faxes broker's paperwork (if not already done by dispatch or shipper)
3. Driver faxes BorderConnect completed forms and brokers paperwork
4. Driver calls BorderConnect before reaching border for entry numbers

Why BorderConnect does not fax customs brokers

Customs brokers often take 4 hours or more to setup your shipment. It doesn't always take that long... but as every driver and dispatcher knows, it often does. That's why we believe the customs broker should be faxed the paperwork as early as possible. If it takes BorderConnect 20 minutes to get to your shipment and forward it to the broker, that's 20 minutes later then the broker should receive the paperwork. Plus, the paperwork has now been faxed twice, often making it impossible to read and process by the broker.

We've tried faxing the brokers. It increased driver's waiting time and just didn't make sense.
